… when fables come true.
Once upon a time a nice lady loved sewing sweet teddy bears for her family and friends…
What could sound like the beginning of a fable, it is actually the birth of a successful business story. Synonymous with tradition and tenderness, Trudi Group was founded in 1954 and now is a world wide multi brand reality; settled in more than 40 countries, it is famous for its high quality products and Italian Design.
But let’s go back in time. During the ‘70s catches on the famous “Trudi Style” and begins its process of industrialization. In the following years the Group focuses its attention to new markets, and it is just at the end of the ‘90s that it starts its world wide project, setting up new foreign strategic branches to follow the local market: Trudi & Sevi (Orgelet, France), Trudi GmbH (Furth, Germany), Trudi Iberia (Valencia, now Barcelona, Spain).
In these years Trudi Group obtains the UNI EN ISO 9001, as proof of high sensitivity to the customer safety. “Quality and safety” become the founded stones of Trudy Group philosophy.
In 2000 for Trudi Group starts a new business era, planning a new approach to the market, focused to a new sensitivity, innovative trends, and a greater attention to the Customer. The new strategy examines the offer diversification with launch of new brands and new product lines.
SEVI acquisition (1999), the oldest brand in the production of the wooden toys and accessories in Europe, is an important step of this new stage.
The new strategy continues with the launching of new lines as part of the core business: Trudi Gift is a collection of accessories for school and free time, thought for romantic and playful little girls; Trudi Baby, the world dedicated to the Babies, is a “delicate” collection whose soft tones remind the sweet hug cuddling the baby from 0 to 3 years.
In 1996 OLLI OLBOT becomes a new brand of Trudi Group, dedicated to the early childhood, whose philosophy is based on the keywords “natural” and “baby wellbeing”.
Trudi realizes the success of OLLI OLBOT, a brand able to convey emotions and strong values. It was from this awareness that in 2004 starts the licensing project to extend the potential of the Trudi Brand to other product categories, in partnership with other brands sharing the same values and philosophy (big companies involved in home linen, carpet and clothes, footwear and socks, underwear and glasses market). A world created for children, where play and grow.
In 2006 opens the first Trudi mono-brand store, “a container of creativity”, “a chest of values” of its brands. Thought as interactive laboratory, creativity and sharing space, the Trudi store is the dream room for any child. A world where design is irresistible, shapes are soft, colours are natural, and where toys and accessories are like characters of a fable.

Safety and Quality For Trudi playing is a very serious job.
At the base of Trudi Group philosophy there is a persevering creative development and technological research, as synonymous with quality, refined design and safety. Safety is a big must for Trudi Group and all products are checked and monitored at every stage of the production cycle. At the end of this process they must pass the most severe safety tests before the marketing. These tests are executed by an external laboratory known as Italian Institute for Toys Safety.
Playing is a very serious job, and Trudi knows that. All products are though to convey emotions, feelings and tenderness sensations; quality and safety support these emotions respecting all ethical values in defence of the world’s child.
